Jerry Sereda, an Indigenous Manitoba-based musician, is a revered figure in the Country

music landscape, captivating audiences with his magnetic stage presence and heartfelt

performances. Deeply rooted in his Indigenous heritage, Jerry infuses personal narratives

and experiences into his infectious melodies, forging a unique connection with listeners

everywhere he goes.

Jerry's musical journey began with a local music contest victory, which paved the way for

his debut single. Since then, he has soared to prominence, earning accolades such as the

2010 Indigenous Music Awards Best New Artist. Drawing inspiration from Country icons

like Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw, Jerry has graced stages alongside renowned artists

such as Johnny Reid, Shane Yellowbird, and Jason Blaine, leaving an indelible mark on the

Canadian Country music scene.

With an illustrious discography boasting five successful albums, Jerry has garnered critical

acclaim and industry recognition, including awards from the Summer Solstice Indigenous

Music Awards and the North American Indigenous Image Awards. His singles have climbed

Country Music Awards, the Aboriginal People’s Choice Music Awards, and the Western

Despite his achievements, Jerry remains committed to his passion for music education,

holding a Master’s degree in Education and dedicating himself to fostering talent within the

Indigenous community. As a mentor and advocate, he shares his wealth of musical

Sereda’s inspirations include Garth Brooks, Merle Haggard, Eric Church, and his Grandma Dottie. Dottie taught her grandson his first guitar chords and shared her love of country music with him. Sereda said she was one of his biggest supporters throughout his life.
